Maybe it was a lie you could see straight through from the beginning…or maybe it was the worst kind—the kind you fall for and fall for it, for a while. We have all been there and we have our stories we can tell.

Girl, did he say he wasn’t married? He tried to call you? Does he love children, but doesn’t have any of his own, yet? Did he tell you that outfit looked great on you? Does he have an interview for a better job in two weeks? Is his Benz in the shop and he’s just driving his cousin’s Hyundai for a little while? Does he hate the strip club or any other club? Is he a Big Brother to some disadvantaged youth? Can he “sho ‘nough” cook you up a gourmet meal? Is he single, because his first love really broke his heart and he is sure he will never recover? Or is it the biggest lie of all "I will never lie to you."?

Why do Brothers lie to us? Is it because they think that we are so superficial or is it because they really are? Who knows, but here is a chance our Sisters to get some dialogue going about the lies. Now I know that some lies that Brothers tell are meant to help and not hurt. maybe that Brother told a little white lie to help boost our confidence or make us Sisters feel better. That's not what this website is about.

We want to know about that lie that the Brother told you that nearly destroyed your life but by the grace of God you survived and grew stronger, and now you are able to look back, smile, and hopefully laugh.
