After the Lies, Then What?

Jesus said that we can know false prophets by their fruit (Mt.7:15,16). Men in general are a long way from being labeled "false prophets" but the key word in the verse above is fruit.  Fruit is something that can be seen externally. Since we cannot know the thoughts and motives of a brother's heart, it is only by looking at the fruit that we can understand whether the tree is good or bad. We have to wait for God to make the fruit manifest before we can come to any conclusion about other people (1Co.4:5).

We all have a tendency to rush things.  We want our blessing and we want it right now.  As soon as we arise off of our knees, we start looking for our blessing.  But it is my encouragement to sistas as well as all, to take your time.  Get to know one another and it will be through your "getting to know" what you will discover whether the fruit is edible or fit to be trashed.  Watch and learn.  A brother who is lying or faking the funk can not keep it up for long periods of time, he will eventually slip and you will then know his true character.
